Environment
Operational environmental management is a fixed component of our company policy. We continuously work to decrease our energy and water consumption, and increase recycling rates. During production, we prioritize minimizing waste, wastewater, noise, and other harmful emissions while safeguarding the health and safety of our employees.
We acknowledge the challenges posed by climate change and are committed to minimizing its impact through sustainable practices and proactive measures.
Energy
We commit ourselves to continually improve our energy related performance and to systematically increase our energy efficiency in a continuous improvement process.
We regularly monitor our energy use and identify opportunities for savings. Our energy policy aims for CO2-neutral operations (Scope 1 and 2 emissions) and enhanced energy efficiency through initiatives.
All persons working for and on behalf of our company are obliged to follow these guidelines and are encouraged to cooperate actively for the fulfilment of our ambitious objectives and targets.
Sustainability strategy and organization – PRETTL GO ZERO
We, the Eckerle Group, are part of the Prettl Group and therefore also pursue the PRETTL GoZero initiative. The project describes the Group’s path to climate neutrality in the four areas of energy efficiency, renewable energies, green electricity and compensation measures.
Sustainable production cycle
We start where environmental impact happens. Already when co-developing products with our customers and choosing our suppliers, we make sure that they follow equivalent environmental guidelines as we do.
Forward–looking commitment
We are committed to complying with legal requirements and official rules and working cooperatively with the relevant bodies and institutes. We consider these requirements and rules the minimum necessary to use natural resources, materials, and energy sparingly. We represent this mission statement publicly and maintain an open dialog with all stakeholders including: employees, customers, neighbours, authorities and any other stakeholders.
To support the policy we set ourself the goal of:
Identify environmental and climate risks in our own business area and in the supply chain and counteract them with appropriate measures.
To protect ecosystems in order to preserve the habitats of humans and animals. We recognize our responsibility and want to make our contribution to the preservation of biodiversity and deforestation-free supply chains. We are committed to the avoidance and reduction of light and noise emissions, as well as harmful emissions into air, water and soil.
To help shape the energy transition and reduce the emission of processes by increasing competence in the energy sector.
Optimize the environmental and energy data basis in order to define measurable and specific key figures to control the achievement of targets, derive measures for continuous improvement and enable transparent and consistent environmental and energy reporting.
To support these activities on all level of the company we are committed to maintain our ISO14001 Environment Management System certification.
